The Settecento collection is a conscious evocation of late 18th century Italian furniture. It is composed of two versions of chest of drawers and a bedside table, which are characterised by refined herring bone inlay décor. The collection is made of solid wood and walnut with a bowed front and decorated with inlay work still executed by hand, as befits a genuine tradition of craftsmanship, blending the allure of the past with an uncompromisingly modern praticality. The two types of chest of drawers - one with a flap door, the other with drawers - and the bedside table with a leather covered pull-out leaf both have wooden tops with inlaid stringing and drawers completely covered in fabric. The flap door conceals a secrétaire fitted with open units and small drawers. The furniture is polished with shellac and wax. The Settecento collection si the fruit of research into antique style by studio G. & S. Molteni.
